Hotels FAQ » Hotel Accommodation » The Hotel Shop

Question:

Hi, I have recently booked hotel accommodation using The Hotel Shop. They seemed to offer very good deals and I have no reason to suspect that they are anything other than a genuine operation. However, I have no wish to turn up at my hotel to find that they have ever heard of The Hotel Shop, since it seems that names are made by a block booking rather than under individual names. Has anyone used them, and what were your experiences? I would appreciate your comments. Thanks, Joe

Response:

We’re just back from London – we booked the Sherlock Holmes Hotel in Baker St through the Hotel Shop. It was 68GBP per night for 2 people B&B, which I thought was very reasonable for a 3* hotel in London. We’ve also booked a hotel through them in Paris for December. — e-mail dwleslie at bigfoot dot com
