If you are in Melbourne specifically for the Melbourne Cup, you should check out Ashley Gardens http://www.ashleygardens.com.au/ for a twin unit. It is pretty handy to the track and city, and a twin unit with spa pool and kitchen is $90. Can’t beat it! Kind regards, Chris

Hi, My best suggestion is to call the Melbourne Airport, and find out the "Accomodation" assistance number… as they will help you get a place to stay, FOR LESS THE PRICE THAN BOOKING IT YOURSELF!!!! The reason on why it’s cheaper through them as they help travellers coming into Melbourne by finding them accomodation from the airport… I booked an appartment like place and I got it for way cheaper through the airport than doing it myself… Hope this helps… Dave
