Question:

We have an overnight layover at Schipol on Aug 18th…we get in at 1300 and fly out the next morning (19th) at 0800 back to the US. Can anyone recommend a good hotel for that night. We would like to spend some time in Amsterdam that evening but would need to be at the airport early the next morning. Thank you, Larry

I would stay in Amsterdam, if I were you. There are frequent trains from Amsterdam Central Station to Schiphol (with H) airport (at least every 15 minutes) that take only 20 minutes. If you take a train around 6:15 AM the next morning, you will be in time for your flight to the US. There are hotels inside the terminal and close to the terminal, but they will not be cheap.
