David You could try http://www.travel-link.org On the first page pick the Netherlands then Zuid Holland. You will then get a list of B&B style accommodation with five listings to a page. On the second page there is one at a town/village called ’s Gravenzande which is about 5 km north of Hoek van Holland, towards The Hague. There is a possibility to request further information. This is all I could find in a quick search but there could be more. As the previous responder said it may be that much of the accommodation in Hoek van Holland is actually closed at that time of the year. I know there is an Ibis hotel just off the freeway at Vlaardingen. Go to the web pages for Ibis at http://www.ibis.tm.fr/HOTLWEB/F/11/1195F.htm#NIVEAU-0 The hotel can be seen as you drive on the freeway (hopefully the sound proofing is adequate). The web pages have a mud map to show location. You could also search one of the other chains like Best Western and/or and you may be able to find something. Just remember though that you should really find something west of Rotterdam proper and north of the Nieuwe Waterweg (the canal/river to the North Sea) or you could get stuck in traffic jams which can be pretty horrendous in peak hour. Have fun planning. Gerrit – Australia Before you buy.

I think you would be better off staying in Rotterdam. Hook of Holland is virtually dead that time of year. Most accommodation is closed during winter. Listings for Rotterdam accommodation can be found on: http://www.vvv.rotterdam.nl/info/HtmObj/os01011.htm on the site of the rotterdam tourist office (in Dutch). — Eddy homepage: http://www.xs4all.nl/~couvreur For reply by e-mail delete one "x" from my e-mail address Voor antwoord per e-mail een "x" van mijn e-mail adres weglaten
