One veyr central hotel is the Park Hotel. I shudder to think what it costs per night for a room there, but it has a very good reputation.

It has now been renamed the Thistle Cardiff. I don’t think it is particularly expensive. It is about the same standard as Jurys, so I would expect it to be roughly the same price. Thistle sometimes have special deals. Check out their site. http://www.thistlehotels.com Doug

Why don’t you look up http://www.s-h-systems.co.uk/cardiff.html they have a listing of hotels and guest houses in Crdiff including links to colour brochures on the web. You may be able to find something you like there. Additionally there are a number of organisations with a web presence which specialise in B&B accommodation some of which is as good as a class hotel but cheaper. Thanks for the tip — I used a lot of search engines, but for some reason I never stumbled across this site, which is excellent.

I’ve heard the same from a few people — but unfortunately, the Angel seems to have a two-night minimum stay requirement, and I’m going to be there for only one night. (Guess I’ll have to come back when I can stay longer…)
