Question:

Hi everybody, we are planning to go to Australia in Febr./March. Our tour is devided in three parts, beginning at Perth from where we plan to go by car to Wave Rock, later to Monkey Mia. Second part will take place in the outback, especially around the Glen Helen Lodge. Does anybody know this lodge? Is it ok? Third part of our journey will be the great ocean road, starting in Adelaide, ending in Melbourne. Therefor we are looking for a nice beach hotel near Adelaide, in direction to Melbourne, any ideas? If anybody has some special ideas where to go and what to do, you’re welcome to send an E-Mail to me, to the following adress: Thanks to everybody, Corina PS: It is the first time for me, putting something to a newsgroup, I hope it will be ok!

Hi Just a brief comment in relation to Glen Helen Lodge – I was there in November (as well as Alice Springs and Uluru). Firstly the area was more interesting than what I imagined but the distances that need to be covered are great. The Glen Helen area was worth visiting in conjunction with trips to the other gorges/gaps in the western McDonnell ranges, but I wouldn’t spend more than  few days there and expect to do a fair bit of driving. The Lodge was quite OK (I didn’t see accommodation rooms) but certainly "rustic", we are not talking the Park Hyatt at Maui here. Hope you have a good trip Bruce Bickerstaff Meet the People Pty Ltd Rivetting web site at http://www.meetoz.com.au/g_day
