Question:

Hi All, Many thanks to all of you who have been so kind enough to give your opinions/views on my recent Barbados enquiry. However, I have another question!. Because of not being able to find suitable accommodation; I’d like any thoughts you may have on Adults Only Hotels In Barbados?. I look forward to hearing from you!. BTW: We want to be in the St. James Area. Sincerely,   — Derek McGuire

Well, the first question is what adults only places are there in Barbados? The most inclusive link list for this for the Caribbean (excluding the Club Med properties) is the one here:   http://www.dmoz.org/Society/Issues/Childfree/Vacations/Caribbean/ Looking at the list I find: Almond Beach Club Royal Pavillion Both are in St. James. So unless someone knows of another, your interest is on a comparison of these two. To start you can visit their web sites. Don (donwiss at Panix com).

I don’t remember the original question, whether or not Derek was looking to go to Barbados during a particular time of year, but Royal Pavillion is adults only during the peak season (Dec-Feb). When we were there, June of ‘98, there were a few young children. They were well behaved and actually somewhat entertaining. —

Thanks to all of you who’ve been kind enough to post your thoughts here. After submitting my post the other day; I/we have finally sorted out our Hotel. We are opting for "The Kings Beach". [As suggested/recommended by most of you!]. Thanks again! Derek, From The Uk.   — Derek McGuire

Checking one of their web sites I found the restrictions as you so write. But I sent an e-mail, and got back "I can inform you that from December The Royal Pavillion will be no longer accepting children all year round." Don (donwiss at panix com).
