Question:
Hi, Seasoned and well travelled people. !! My wife and I are travelling down from Cairns to Brisbane second and third weeks of December 97 and wish to stop over at Townsville, Airlie Beach, and Yeppoon, as we would like to visit Some of the Islands off these Towns. We would be very interested in B&B type accommodation, (We don’t wish to take a second mortgage out for a nights stay in a hotel), and are travelling down with Mcaffertys, so we are travelling relatively light. Any recommendations for acommodation would be appreciated, as would the best tours to any of the islands from the towns we have listed above. We are both keen snorkellers, and my wife wants to see, feed and swim with the dolphins, so any advice on this would be appreciated , and the best places to avoid the box jellyfish. If you stay in Yeppoon don=B4t miss Great Keppel Island. There are pretty = nice places where you can snorkle. = There is a YHA on GKI, but you have to book in Rockhampton YHA. = There were no Dolphins when I stayed there in Feb. 97 but also no box = jellyfish. Enjoy your stay Axel
