Question:
I will be in the Dom Rep for a few weeks and will be staying in Punta Cana, since this is also referred to as Punta Nada, I am planning on leaving for a few days to Cabarete to do some windsurfing. I am looking for any suggestions where to rent equippment, where to stay in Cabarete o Puerto Plata, where to meet people, since I will be traveling by myslef. Any suggestions on what to do would be appreciated at the email below. thanx

I’ve been to Cabarete 3 times. You’ll have no problem renting equipment. try BIC or Vela As for lodging, it runs the gamut. If you want cheap but friendly, hostel type accomodations, try the banana boat. For other ideas, visit here, and contact the "iguana mama"–trish soreil. she’s great and will fill you in on any info you need. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text ->I will be in the Dom Rep for a few weeks and will be staying in Punta Cana, >since this is also referred to as Punta Nada, I am planning on leaving for a >few days to Cabarete to do some windsurfing. I hope you know that the trip to Punta Cana is MANY hours.. I can book a condo for you at Palm Beach Condos in Cabarete. Gear rentals are about 250.00 per week or prorated. See my web site at: www.antiguacaribbean.com
