if you take ice or ir- train you have one transfer (Kassel Wilhelmshoehe). same with local trains (RE, RB) . One transfer in Goettingen. The documenta is taking place near Kassel Hauptbahnhof. if you dont want to go early (before 9 am) you can also buy a Niedersachsen-Ticket for 21 euro (good for a roundtrip for up to 5 people) which is good to a small town near Kassel, from where it costs another 3 euro to go to kassel. Better to buy a weekly pass for that part of the journey in Kassel (NVV-Automat). But compare with the price of a whole-week-pass for hannvoer- kassel anyway as the IR-trains are faster. michael
