Hotels FAQ » Hostel » Saarburg, Germany (Mosel) trip in January 2003
Question:
Looking for suggestions for a trip in January 2003. Flying into Frankfurt and returning to US three days later. I would like to visit Saarburg (an ancestral home) and do a little research at the library in Trier. Since I will be there for such a short time, my activities will be very limited. Anyway, seeking suggestions: 1. DINING – authentic and inexpensive recommendations, please 2. LODGING – I may try hostels but welcome suggestions of small hotels, guest houses, rooms, farms, etc., in or close to Saarburg. Also, where is best to stay the evening before my flight out of Frankfurt? 3. WEATHER – will it be horrendous in January? I am planning to rent a car for the three days. Should I? Anything else? Thank you so much. Charles McCool

The HI Youth Hostel in Frankfurt is clean and convenient, with 4 to 6 people in a room. There is a significant amount of dining nearby, though it is not in the city center. It’s about five blocks from the S > 3. WEATHER – will it be horrendous in January? I am planning to rent a > car for the three days. Should I? > Anything else? Thank you so much. > Charles McCool
