Hotels FAQ » Hostel » Need cheap place to stay in Ljubljana, Slovenia End of Jan.
Question:
In Ljubljana look for Hotel Park. It’s walking distance from the railway station (ask there for the route and close enough to walk from the city centre. In my opinion it sucks but you can get a room for <5.000 SIT (~$20). Just to sleep over it’s still OK. I guess I got the cheapest room ~4.000 that was in the same league as an average eastern Europe hostel. I’ve stayed there once! Other hotels in Ljubljana tend to be pretty expensive. Don’t even ask at Hotel Slon, Lev (you might see them while wandering the town) later on. Joe

Response:
The bus and train stations will always have women offering extremely cheap accomodation in private homes, probably less than 20. USD per night. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – >I will be in Vienna at the end of Jan and will hopefully take a train to >Ljubljana Slovenia. I may stop over in Maribor as well on the way.
