Question:

Try Int’l Student Hostel (ISH), it located in center of zone 1, easy to access and it’s cheap around 10 pounds per nite. However, it’s always full booking, so u’d better book in advance at least a week. More, u can try YHA in Earl’s court, it just walk a few minutes from the Earl’s Court Underground station. It’s very clean and tidy, the staff is nice n helpful, the cost is reasonable, about 18 pounds per nite. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> I’m going to London for the first time and I’m looking for a cheap place to > stay. Europa House in Sussex Gardens has singles with a bathroom for 40 GBP per night. It is clean and comfortable. I stayed there last April and will stay there every time I am in London.

The first thing you will learn is that London accommodations are very expensive. The second thing you’ll learn is that their standards of cleanliness are not very high.   It’s definitely buyer beware at the low and middle end of the spectrum, and even at the high end you don’t always get what think you paid for! Most of them have very inflexible cancellation policies as well.
