Question:

I will be in Sydney arriving on Oct 10, 2000. I am interested in moderately priced hotesl in the Darlinghurst area for about a two week period. By moderately priced I am talking about A$75-100. Location next to public transport is a must. Any suggestions?

Inner city hotels in Sydney at that rate with the Paralympics on?? Good Luck.  (Even without the Paralympics!!) Dunno what rates they will do for you, but the few hotels In Darlo that are literally right on the bus route on Oxford Street are: Best Western Oxford Koala (rack rate of $130 for bog standard, very average 3 star hotel) Seville Park Apartments Cambridge Hotel (half block back from Oxford St) All Seasons on Crown (half block back from Oxford St) Wattle Private Hotel (old style B&B right on Oxford) Hyde Park Inn Marriott Hotel YWCA Hostel – good private rooms with facilities. The last 3 are half block from the end of Oxford Street at the Hyde Park end – 1 block to train or half block to bus stops. Cheers. Al.
