Hotels FAQ » Hostel » Hostels (or other cheap accomm. in London)
Question:
Hello there, well early’s court is not a bad choice. Hostel is a good choice, but try to avoid southeast, and London center. You can always get to the center (attractions) by train (underground). Best wishes -**** Posted from RemarQ, http://www.remarq.com/?b ****- Real Discussions for Real People

I just arrived back (yesterday, in fact). Since it is the high season just now, I think the prices may be cheaper when you go. I stayed at Hotel Cavendish (75 Gower Street) for 40 GBP per night for a double room. Singles typically are around 25 GBP. Nice little hotel, and there are many others on that street in that area. Central location with lots of cafes on Tottenham Court Road, and just two blocks from the tube. I first arrived at Arran Hotel, next door to Hotel Cavendish, but the room they stuck me in was actually a closet, I’m sure, and it wasn’t very clean at that. It was cheap enough though….25 GBP a night. Cheers, Caro

A mate and I will be in London around the end of Nov or beginning of Dec, and are currently trying to work out where to stay. Our current thoughts are about staying in a hostel in the Earl’s Court area as this seems to give reasonable accomm (according to some peoples comments) for a reasonable price. Does anyone on this group think otherwise, or could reccommend some places to stay, or even some not to stay at. We are looking at dorm style hostel accommodation for less than about 20 pounds per night.
