I’m planning a trip to Amsterdam. Can anyone tell me about good cheap accommodation near Dam Square, Central stn area? I will be alone, and would prefer a single room with bathroom? thanks

Hostels with single rooms with a bathroom? In the vicinity of Dam square are a few hostels (f.i Bob’s Youth Hostel on Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal and several others on Warmoesstraat) but I believe you won’t find single rooms with bathrooms there (i haven’t stayed there myself) If you want a single room with a bathroom you’ll have to book a more expensive hotel, I think. Near Dam Square there are several.
