Hi, We’ll be doing a 2-day trip along the Great Ocean Road next week and were wondering if anyone here had any recommendations for a decent hotel/motel in or around the Port Campbell area? Nothing too fancy or expensive. Quiet, clean, not on a main road, etc. Just for an overnight stay really. We stayed at Southern Ocean Motor Inn last year, just for a nigt. It is a Flag-Choice Motel, look at www.flagchoice.com.au. It was enough for us, cheap, clean etc.

On the west end is the town of Peterborough with the aptly named Peterborough Motel. I stayed there one night in Oct. for $55 or 60 AU I think…neat and clean and about 5-10 minutes from the first (westernmost) sight. The # is 03-5598-5251 and the owner is Ray Irwin.
