Question:
Thanks very much for the info! The hotel looks good and cheap and it’s really near the place we are going. One more question… do you know the email adress of the hotel? (I’ve been browsing the net and I haven’t been able to find it). Or do you know if there is problems for getting a room when we arrive there? Thanks in advance. The last time we went to Paris we stayed at the Hotel Le Lionceau, 22 Rue Daguerre 75014 PARIS Tel +33 1 43.22.53.53, fax +33 1 44.10.72.49, totally bog standard little place with no charm at all BUT: 1) Clean and safe. 2) Cheap (around EUR 40 per room per night if I remember correctly). 3) Nice neighborhood: great street market in rue Daguerre itself (ask to be put in the other building round the corner on rue Boulard if you don’t want the early morning noise !); the Catacombs on place Denfert-Rochereau 5 minutes walk away; the Observatoire de Paris just a few minutes further to the north. 4) Convenient – subway lines 4 & 6 plus the RER all meet at Denfert-Rochereau station, 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Very quick to get into the centre of Paris (15 mins or so). It suited us perfectly !
