A friend wants me to get involved with World Class Network so that I can become a part time travel agent. Not only will I be able to make a few extra bucks, he says, but I will get a Travel Agent card allowing me hotel, rental car and airline upgrades. Is anyone familiar WCN and their program?

Hi Be carefull. If they charge you any money to join I would not recommend it. It may even be a "pyramid scam" On the other hand there a a number of long established travel agent,s on the net offering free on line training to become a "Part time agent"  and who will provide you with a full back up. A  non IATA travel agents card is also of no much use. You may as well print your own callingcard as "Travel Agent" . Most hotels do not really care. Yes..it is still going on…as of now there are folks from the US, Mexico, Canada, Australia,England, Scotland, Italy, Germany, Russia, France, Korea and Isreal coming.  90 booths and a lot of folks who attended the first one in 1976 to meet you all… We recommend you call the hotel direct and book your room and register at the door.  Beauty contest starts Thursday, Jan 18th at noon.
