Hotels FAQ » Airport Hotel » Nerja to Granada / Orgiva by bus?
Question:
I’m flying into Malaga in May, arriving about 9:00pm. Although I may end up settling for an airport hotel before travelling to Orgiva near Granada the next day, part of me wants to stay in a more congenial hotel I know in Nerja. Trouble is, I need to find out how to get to Orgiva from Nerja by bus. Is it possible or will I end up going back into Malaga and going via Granada from there? If anyone has done this journey or knows of a way of finding out the details, please let me know, John Kane johnkane<at>mail<dot>com … you know the rest

I don’t know the answer to your question but you can probably get it (if nobody online knows) from the national tourist office of Spain—I know there’s one in Chicago that you can telephone at 312-642-1992. Meanwhile, it might be helpful to know that there is a super little commuter railway that runs from Malaga to Fuengirola (about 45 minutes total run) with a stop directly at Malaga Airport; trains run every 20 or 30 minutes. You don’t have to take a shuttle, just walk down a walkway from the terminal and you’re on the train platform. Fuengirola is then a hub of bus activity and you may well be able to get a bus to Nerja—ask the tourist office people. The bus station and train station are within the same block and both are in the heart of downtown Fuengirola, which has lots of hotels if you need a stopover. * Sent from RemarQ http://www.remarq.com The Internet’s Discussion Network * The fastest and easiest way to search and participate in Usenet – Free!
