If price and close location are important, the Ibis is it. This is a reliable, but not fancy, French chain.  Private baths, of course.  They are part of the ACCOR group which includes Sofitel, Mercure, …, Europcar, etc., and have an 800 number in the USA/Canada and a Web site. One of the HotelHoppa shuttle routes goes between LHR and the Ibis.

Do not stay at the Comfort Inn – Heathrow.  They are building a new parkade in front and will offer you the room for 60 GBP a night and they have a wonderful Heathrow-Hotel shuttle bus. The construction is not the problem but the rude, arrogant, unhelping attitude of the staff and the outrageous prices/lack of service in the restaurants made us vow never to return to London.  The hotel has no air conditioning so if the London heatwave is continuing and you need to keep your window open, as most Europeans do, you will not sleep until the airport traffic slows down.  Hope you find something better.
