They built a tunnel many years ago, but no train! -Erik

Response:

When in Cincinnati: 1. Tune your radio to WKRP. 2. Give ERIKG’s best wishes to Junior.

Does Les Nessman still do the news there?

Response:

Rock Bottom Brewery is on the fountain downtown.  Also Main Street Brewery. It however is in the heart of where the riots WERE.  You should be aware that the majority of the arrests for the riots in that area were residents of other parts of the city. As the airport is in Kentucky and many miles from downtown there is no easy way to get there.  You might want to get a taxi and have them take you the backroads to the river.  Have them take you to Anderson Ferry and turn left (east) on Rt 8 (you will still be in KY).  Quicker scenic way to river.  You will begin to hit some riverboat properties close to town, the first I think being The Waterfront.  Rather expensive place that I hear serves great, expensive food with fun bar.  Continue on down for other properties or head across the bridge to downtown. Yep, I heard he is still talking about that great man of golf, Chi Chi Rodriquez If you pronounce it correctly, then you must have missed the show.

Response:

There are a Marriott, large Holiday Inn, Hilton, etc etc within a close distance of CVG.  These are in addition to the Radisson on the grounds of the terminals.  You can find a decent cheap room in the vicinity of the airport, IMO.  Cincy does not have a rail line like youre talking about, though a light rail has been under study for some time in the area. Dont quite know which brew/rest youre talking about, though I assume it was the Oldenberg brewpub in Ft Mitchell, which is no longer in operation.  Just look around, the Cincy/N. Ky area has all kinds of good restaurants though. Hope this helps…. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – >I might have to stay one night at CVG.  What hotels are close but >not horribly expensive?  I assume there is an airport hotel, but they >are usually expensive.  Does Cincinnati have a train/subway from >the airport to someplace fun, like downtown?  Are any parts of >town better left unvisited due to the recent riots?  The last time I >was there (maybe 1990) I ate at a brewery/restaurant that was >nice.  Can someone recommend a good brewery/restaurant? >Pete
