Hotels FAQ » Airport Hotel » Hotel at Boston Airport?
Question:
I will be arriving in Boston on 16 Sept. from Halifax. I leave 17 Sept. in the AM. I am wondering if there is a hotel at Boston airport? If so, could someone give me the name of it. If not, can anyone recommend a decent hotel in the city that is not too pricy! The AC stirke has forced me to take this route: 16 Sept. YHZ-BOS on Air Nova, 17 Sept. BOS-LHR on BA. I arrive at 4pm in Boston and leave at 8am. Many thanks, James Chlup
Response:
There used to be a Sheraton right at the airport, but I haven’t been there in a while so I am not sure it is still there. However, if it is, it is very convenient to the terminal. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – >I will be arriving in Boston on 16 Sept. from Halifax. I leave 17 Sept. >in the AM. There is a Holiday Inn about half a mile from the airport with a shuttle link. Much better to stay at the airport than in the city unless you have time to do some sightseeing. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – >I will be arriving in Boston on 16 Sept. from Halifax. It was actually a Hilton. It is still there, but it is no longer a Hilton. Ramada runs it now. There is also a Hyatt on the airport property, but it might not fit the bill of "not too pricey". The Boston Harbor Hotel is an 8 minute ferry ride across the bay from BOS, but it too may be rather expensive. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – >There used to be a Sheraton right at the airport, but I haven’t been there >in a while so I am not sure it is still there. There is also a Days Inn in Saugus that has a free airport shuttle and is fairly inexpensive ($50-75 per night). If its not during rush hour it is about a 15 minute ride. Good luck, Dan

Day’s Inn is a good budget choice. Another one is the Comfort Inn in Revere where last year we paid about $70. It’s not quite as far from the airport as the Day’s Inn, but still about 10 minutes. I think there is a Holiday Inn a little closer to Logan, but I have no personal experience of it. — Note: Substitute pdgraham in the obvious spot to fix my e-mail address…GG

I once stayed at the BOS airport hotel. It is a standard airport hotel. You *can* walk from the hotel to the airport, but it is a bit dicey because you have to cross a fairly busy lane. You can also walk from hotel to subway station, but again, you have to cross that lane. Another option is to find a hotel right downtown and either take the subway (they do have shuttle between subway and airport), or take the ferry (also shuttle to the airport from ferry terminal). Does the ferry still operate ? With all the construction, I am not sure if all these things still exist.
