Details on Bangkok Airport Area hotels are found in the Bangkok Hotel FAQ. If you book at the Comfort Inn, ask about the ‘Choice Special’. Right across the street (walk across a skyway) from the Bangkok airport is the Amari Hotel.  I paid about $100 US for single occupancy.  My travel agent made the reservation so I do not have a phone or fax number.   There is also a Comfort Inn not too far from the airport but it is not within walking distance.  I’m told the rate there is about $70 US single.
